Trahanas with Red Sauce

Cooking time - 20 minutes



  • Chop the onion in small cubes

  • Pour the EVOO in a pan and leave it to heat up

  • Sauté the onion with salt, pepper, thyme for 2 minutes.

  • Add trahanas, aridaia paprika, and the tomato sauce and stir for 1-2 minutes.

  • Add the hot water and boil in medium-low temperature for 12-13 minutes.

  • Switch off the stove and leave the trahanas to soak the sauce for 5 minutes with the lid on.

  • Remove from the stove and serve with crumbles of feta, and some fresh EVOO.
