The organic raw carob syrup is produced from the pods of the carob tree and has a mild, sweet flavor. It can be used as sweetener in cakes, tahini, hot and cold beverages, yogurt, ice cream and rice. It is a great substitute of sugar. It is rich in calcium (almost three times more than milk- carob contains 350 mg per 100gr in comparison to milk that contains 120 mg per 100gr). For its production, only Cretan carobs are used.
