    • Permanent colouring of the bottle in matt.
    • The container (glass bottle), with its curves, distinguished proportions and shape, alludes to older forms, while remaining classic and modern. The chosen colour is a Greek dark blue; classy and timeless with a matt texture that also stimulates the sense of touch, in addition to vision.
    • The main graphic could be none other than a stylized, gold-plated and embossed perennial olive tree from our olive groves – a tribute to this monument of nature.

    A single variety extra virgin olive oil with an exceptionally low acidity , produced from the Makri olive, which has unique characteristics thanks to the local microclimate and the estate’s soil structure, and is harvested in the middle of October. Characterized by fruitiness of mid to high intensity with enhanced tones of fresh green olive and green banana, artichoke and freshly cut grass. The oil is extracted within 4-8 hours of harvest and cold pressed under optimal conditions. Complex in taste, yet delicate with moderate bitter and spicy tones, it is best consumed raw as a finishing touch to all your dishes.

    THIS IS MITIRA, AN ORGANIC EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL FROM LESVOS ISLAND

    Gold-colored, smooth-tasting, aromatic, Mitira extra virgin olive oil is comprised of a mix between the Kolovi and Adramitiani variety, both unique to the island of Lesvos.

    The cultivation and processing of Mitira´s  olive oil is completely organic. In order to ensure the olive oil’s low acidity level, premature olives are carefully hand-picked before being pressed via the method of cold-extraction. The oil press for the olives  holds strict health and hygiene standards and is certified according to the quality standards of ISO 22000:2005 while holding additional certifications, ISO/TS22002-1:2009 and FSSC 22000 for the bottling of olive oil.

    Employing the method of cold-extraction allows for the production of a supreme olive oil, as its composition is free from exposure to high temperatures and additive substances, thus preserving the beneficial antioxidants and nutritional elements of the olive oil

    This EVOO has also a protected geographical indication (P.G.I.), certified by AGROCERT

    In the legendary region of Nemea, Corinth (Greece) our family first started cultivating vineyards in 1876. Nemea’s unique soil quality and climate, in combination with our continuously growing experience in the viticulture sector, formed the basis upon which our family business has being developed ever since.

     

    Type: Organic Currants (dried in the shade).

    Differentiation: Natural drying process under sunshades.

    Features: Dark blue/black colour, complete filling, non-changing flesh, authentic flavour and taste of Black Corinthian Raisins without the addition of caramelised sugars.

    Drying duration: 30-60 days, depending on weather conditions.

    Drying process: We place the grapes one by one in handmade sunshades and we let them dry naturally for 20-25 days. Then, we take them down and leave them for 1-2 days under the sun to complete the drying process.

    Raisins’ origin: Private Black Corinth grape vineyards with small organic production.

    Vine Harvest: Once the grapes have reached 15 degrees Baumé (27 degrees Brix) we harvest them around the end of August with great care in order to keep all the grapes intact.

    Thallon olive oil has all the characteristics of the Chondrolia olive variety of Halkidiki. It has a rich fruity taste with aromatic notes of grass, greens, pepper, tomato.
